Stream of Consciousness

Gavin has been working his brain in high gear this weekend. I am not sure he even stopped to take a breath between the 1 billion "whys" and "how comes". He has also expanded from asking only questions, to also telling me about things I don't know about. Here are a few...

"Did you know that if a person has no legs he can't walk? And if a person has only one leg he will have to hop everywhere. I think that would hurt my foot if I had to hop all the time."

"Why can the moon and the sun be out at the same time?"

"Did you know the moon goes down where there is water?"

"Which way is left in our house?"

"Are all these people going to the mall?"

"If they aren't going to the mall then where are they going?"

"Where do apples come from?"

"Where does steak come from?"

"Where do hotdogs come from?" (I am curious about this myself, actually...)

"Who made cups?"

This is just a 1 minute version of what he had to say. It wears me out!!!

It's so cute, though! It's good that you're writing it down, because one day you'll probably miss it. And he's asking really good questions.

It's so funny to hear the things that kids think. When I was nine, we had a 4 year old foster child named Stephen. We used to take him to church with us, and my mom taught him all about the cruicifiction and resurrection before Easter. We were in church on Easter and our pastor was praying. Everyone was really quiet, and Stephen asked my mom in a loud whisper "are these the people who killed Jesus?"

Hopefully Gavin will grow out of this stage. I don't think I ever did and it bugs the crap out of my brother.
