I am excited to report that I have just started my last two of the three classes I need to graduate. Corporate Financial Management and Compensation and Benefits both leave a metallic taste in my mouth, but I can endure anything for 8 weeks. After this, only my Senior Project. With what I have gone through to finish this degree over the last year, a Senior Project is going to be a walk in the park.
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and, boy, it sure is bright!!!!

Preschool Orientation
Ron and I went to Gavin's preschool orientation. Gavin was able to meet his preschool teachers and Ron and I listened to all the rules and regulations. Gavin is going to have so much fun. I am so excited for him!!! He saw his friend Jorgan, but he is in a different preschool class.
I have been helping him with his name. He can spell it now and can write the G and the A so far. I love that he is learning to write!!!
Okay, can you tell I am a proud mom?!

Countdown until Christmas
Only 3 months left before Christmas arrives and we have just bought our first Christmas gift. We purchased a Tonka bicycle for Gavin. His very first bike comes complete with training wheels and a water bottle. I can't wait to see his face!!
Butte Paste and Cornmeal
I finally found the diaper rash ointment. Max is my big helper when it comes to putting things away. I found the ointment in the kitchen cupboard behind the cornmeal. I found Gavin's shoe in the utensil drawer and I found Max's shoe next to the vinegar.
Who knows what I will find next!!!

It's A Miracle!!!
I have pictures!!! I just realized that the printer that I have had for over a year has a slot for a multimedia card. We have a multimedia card on our camcorder! I can actually see the last few pictures I took- which is from last summer. I lost the software to the camera and so wasn't able to download pics onto my computer anymore. But now I HAVE PICS!! Enjoy!!

Camping
Last night the whole family went to Saylorville lake and made camp. We found our campsite (through the sprinkles of rain) and set up our tent. We found a great spot next to the bathrooms and a playground. What more could we ask for?! We are having a great time- with a quick trip home so I could send my school work in over the internet (and get a can opener)- and expect to have more fun tonight.
The kids are exhausted (which means a bit grumpy) but they are loving it!!

Adventureland
Gavin saw the roller coaster at Adventureland the other day. Every time we drive by it he says he wants to go on it. He thinks he is big enough. He said, "When are we going to go to Adventureland?" I replied, "Well, it costs a lot of money so we will have to see." He says, "I have money in my piggy bank we could use." I say, "Well, then you won't have any more money left." He states, "I will just get more out of your room and put it in my bank."
He just has it all figured out!

A full house
Today my house is overflowing with children. Ten in total!!! We are continually on the edge of chaos. At the moment the older kids are making bracelets and necklaces with beads while the younger ones are taking naps. Thank goodness they are big enough to clean up after themselves.
BTW- I would like to send out a special thanks to Wyatt for teaching Gavin the word "boobies".

My young man
Gavin is growing up. Yesterday I found him putting on Ron's deoderant. He said he needed it so that he would smell nice. He then began looking for Ron's cologne, but we have hidden that because it kept disappearing. We suspected the Gavinator, but I wasn't sure. (Ron puts it on pretty thick sometimes. :) Now we know. We have a 3 year old without B.O.!!

You know your in trouble when....
I can always tell when the kids have done something wrong. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) kids don't realize that a parent will almost always find out.
You know your child has been naughty when...
You know your child has been naughty when...
- You walk into the room and the first thing he says is, "I'm not doing anything."
- Your child runs up to you and says,"No matter what Dylan says, I did not kick him in the leg and then pull his hair."
- Your child approaches you and says, "I need to go sit in time out."
Can you think of anymore?

How to make playdough
I just took this great class on how to get children interested in the chemistry of cooking. Here is a recipe on how to make playdough.
1/2 cup flour
2 T. salt
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 tsp oil
food coloring if desired
pour into electric skillet set at 250 degrees and mix (like scrambled eggs) with a spatula until it looks like playdough. Let cool. Will keep for approx 1 year if stored in air tight container or baggie. :)
