Last night the whole family went to Saylorville lake and made camp. We found our campsite (through the sprinkles of rain) and set up our tent. We found a great spot next to the bathrooms and a playground. What more could we ask for?! We are having a great time- with a quick trip home so I could send my school work in over the internet (and get a can opener)- and expect to have more fun tonight.
The kids are exhausted (which means a bit grumpy) but they are loving it!!
Kids say the darndest things....
We just purchased our brand new gerbils! A white gerbil named Minnie P and a black gerbil named dark chocolate. Max was so excited until a thought suddenly came to him. "How are we going to tell them apart?"

We didn't go swimming but we did make s'mores! Gavin and Ron went fishing and Gavin caught a little crappie. They had a lot of fun, but they are exhausted. We are going to go again over Labor Day weekend.
