How to make playdough

I just took this great class on how to get children interested in the chemistry of cooking. Here is a recipe on how to make playdough.

1/2 cup flour
2 T. salt
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 tsp oil
food coloring if desired

pour into electric skillet set at 250 degrees and mix (like scrambled eggs) with a spatula until it looks like playdough. Let cool. Will keep for approx 1 year if stored in air tight container or baggie. :)

I used the word commando, about 2 months ago, when I was getting Gavin into his pj's one night. I haven't mentioned it since. I had no idea he even remembered it!!

Lance,
What makes your paste recipe so great??

I said the word commando last night when he was putting his PJs on. I just said it in passing, but he picked right up on it and seemed very interested.

I think this calls for a blog vote:

Do you commando?
